Hi, I'm Melissa

As a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT 200) certified, Reiki Practitioner and mother to a 14-year-old son, a cat and dog! I value authenticity, vulnerability and fostering connection and I love to share these human experiences.

​

 

Throughout my life, I have confronted significant personal challenges, including complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD), arthritis, chronic pain, two herniated cervical discs, shoulder surgery, a near-death experience, and adrenal fatigue—

all stemming from extensive trauma and abuse. When traditional Western medical approaches like talk therapy and prescription medications seemed to exacerbate my symptoms, my intuition guided me toward holistic healing modalities, including yoga and energy work.​

 

Yoga became my transformative path enabling me to overcome anxiety, depression, and addiction, ultimately empowering me to develop self-control, practice moderation, and live without relying on prescription medications or daily compulsive behaviors.

​

My professional intention is to support others in accepting their past experiences and learning the art of self-healing through yoga. I believe that trauma creates pain that disconnects us from our inner light, but within that pain lies the potential to transform past struggles into passion, purpose, and pleasure.

 

Yoga is not a destination but a continuous journey—one that I am committed to walking alongside my students. I understand that this path involves fluctuating experiences, including moments of bliss and challenge. My core philosophy is that each individual carries a profound inner light that serves as their own greatest teacher. My role is to help you rediscover and reconnect with this fundamental truth in a playful, supportive, non-competitive environment.
